MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
Born January 15, 1929, Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. was a baptist minister and perhaps the most famous leader of the civil rights movement. In 1955, Dr. king led the montgomery bus boycott.He also played a role in the founding of the southern christian leadership conference in 1957 which is a group dedicated to keeping moral authority and organizing capaxity of black churches. He led marches for the right to vote. He wanted some of the basic civil rights of desegregation and labor rights. Dr. King was assassinated in 1968. He was then awarded the Presidential Medal Of Freedom.
